Knock Presbyterian Church occupies a prominent corner within a Conservation Area, at the junction of the Kings Road and Knock Road, Belfast.  The existing church halls have been developed on an ad hoc basis over a number of years and as such lack any cohesive design theme or materiality.  Following conservation works to the existing church, completed in 2019, an exciting new proposal has been submitted for planning approval to accommodate the changing needs of the church.  The proposal seeks to demolish the existing halls, extend the existing church building, reconfigure the site, and refurbish and extend the Kairos Centre to link through to the main church buildings.  The proposal takes a holistic design approach to the entire site and will ensure that all elements of the church buildings are read together to improve the site and enhance the character of the Conservation Area.
